This year I got a chance to see Keukenhof again but from a different and non-touristic perspective when a friend offered to drive me around the fields outside of the touristic keukenhof area. Although the look of the flowers remain the same, the experience was drastically different.
Idli, my favorite food item, is a traditional south indian breakfast/snack item, made by steaming a batter consisting of fermented rice flour and black lentils. After 2 days of prep (grinding and fermenting), I finally made some idlis during the weekend which turned out to be fantastic. I also made Allam Pacchadi (Garlic chutney) and Sambar to go along with it.
This is the result of me being addicted to Ingress and playing it while biking around the city with my camera and experimenting with shooting macros using freelensing.
Its an old railway station built in 1900’s in Paris, which now has been converted into a art and sculpture museum, boasting the largest collection of impressionist masterpieces.
On my first trip to Paris, I missed visiting this museum. So I made it a point to do so on my second trip last weekend. I thoroughly enjoyed some of the impressive life-sized realist paintings. But I was far more intrigued by the building, its history and architecture and also the crowd and surrounding ambience. Here are some photos

I could not comprehend the fact that the interiors were so beautifully designed and built, all for a railway station that saw less than 40 years of service.

Gorgeous last rays of sunlight falling into the streets of Amsterdam, giving off the retro look of the ’60s, which in reality are at least couple of centuries old, on a Friday night made for a fantastic start for the weekend. It was a great day. The weekend is going to be even more amazing.
