End of summer

Every time I mention my excitement at the prospect of summer coming to an end, people give me the weirdest of looks. For most it signifies the beginning of wretched cold winter which they prefer didn’t exist in the first place, while I look forward for the colors of fall and the whites of winters and misty cold.

The light that end of summer brings is so absolutely mesmerising that it almost makes me want the upcoming winter to be put on hold. Here are some pictures where I attempt to capture it

Haarlem

I passed by this pretty little dutch down several times, but did not get a chance to explore it until a week back, when a few Russian friends who lived there, invited me over, on a sunny sunday for some lunch and talk and long walk along the country side. This is one town, I wouldn’t mind living in, for its just 10 minutes away from the beach.

Ocean Beach

Being on the ocean beach lets me let my heart wander around to enjoy the various sights: of people gleefully playing and cheerfully singing; of friends and family; of kids building sand castles; of dogs swimming and happily barking while they run around to fetch their play things; lovers lost in embraces of each other; people like me lost to solitude of their own. All mortal senses and feelings drown away in the majestic splashing, crashing and ever thrashing ocean waves, and instantly I am at Peace.

Plus walking barefoot in beach-sand gives one hell of an amazing pedicure. So I went to the beach again.
